My name is Kainoa Arensdorf and I am your School Counselor. I have been apart of the Mountain View Elementary School ohana for 9yrs. I am born and raised from Wailuku, Maui where I attended St. Anthony Jr./Sr. High School. I later attended and received a Bachelors of Arts in K-12 Education degree from Gonzaga University in the state of Washington. In 2003, I completed a Master of Arts in Educational Counseling through the University of Phoenix, Maui campus. I have been working for the State of Hawaii Department of Education since 2005, making this my 19th year working in the public school system. I enjoy working with Trauma Informed Educators at a school that has a variety of experiences that can impact a student's learning. I believe that resiliency, coping skills, and modeling hardiness is a way to help our students handle life setbacks and challenges.
