Kimochis®: Tools for Emotional Intelligence and Social-Emotional Learning:This interactive, two-day training introduces Hawaiʻi Department of Education educators to the Kimochis® curriculum—an engaging, evidence-based approach to fostering emotional intelligence, communication skills, and positive behavior support. Participants will learn how to use the Kimochis® characters and feeling pillows to help students identify and express emotions, build empathy, and develop strong interpersonal skills.
Ideal for educators, counselors, and support staff working with early childhood and elementary-aged students, this training provides practical strategies for schoolwide implementation and supporting diverse learners, including those receiving counseling, behavioral, and special education services.
Learner Outcomes:- Identify the key components of the Kimochis® Program: Characters, Keys to Communication, and Kotowaza (Feelings) Lessons
